SMB Roundtable: Social Media for Small Business
In this episode of The SMB Roundtable, Valcor’s David Sussman interviews Lon Safko, whose latest book, “The Social Media Bible” (#1 on Amazon’s Business & Marketing list), unlocks the mysteries of social media for business. According to Lon, social media is not a fad or “something for the kids;” small business owners who don’t keep up will be left behind & lose market share.
The founder of 14 successful companies, Lon has received many prestigious awards including Westinghouse Entrepreneur of the Year and the Arizona Innovation Networks’ Network of the Year. He’s also been nominated twice for the Ernst & Young/Inc Magazine “Entrepreneur of the Year.” He has been featured in Entrepreneur, PC Novice, & Popular Science ( to name a few), & he was recently selected by the Smithsonian to represent “The American Inventor” at their annual conference.
Today, Lon is a professional speaker in over 100 cities & privately coaches Fortune 1,000 companies on “Innovative Thinking and Social Media Strategies.” He’s also a professional blogger for FastCompany, the first Amassador for SCORE, and is on USAToday’s CEO Advisory Board.
